When: 7 p.m.

Join TheatreSquared this Thursday evening for Stand-up Comedy by comics Joe Means, Sam Price and Kenneth Crabgrass. Hosted by The Frisco Kid, this event promises to make locals laugh out loud.

What: “Come From Away”

Where: Robinson Center (Little Rock)

When: Various showtimes

For one weekend only, Broadway’s hit musical “Come From Away” will be showing at Little Rock’s Robinson Center. This production is based on the true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them.

What: Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience Opening Weekend

Where: The Exhibition Hub Little Rock Art Center

When: Various Times

This weekend marks the opening weekend of Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience, which will be on display at The Exhibition Hub Little Rock Art Center through Oct. 31. Fever brings this 360-degree digital art experience to the area and invites guests to step into Vincent Van Gogh’s universe.

What: Hot Springs Gallery Walk 35th Anniversary

Where: Downtown Hot Springs – Various Locations

When: 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Hot Springs Gallery Walk will be celebrating its 35th Anniversary this Friday evening. This month, guests can view art at several locations, including Dryden Pottery, The Circle Gallery at Emergent Arts, Kollective Coffee + Tea, Aqua Gift Boutique, Wrapped Gift Boutique, All Things Arkansas and more. What: August First Friday: Going for the Gold

Where: Downtown Bentonville Square

When: 3 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Join Downtown Bentonville, Inc. for some Olympic fun this Friday evening at its First Friday. This month, the theme is Going for the Gold, and the event will include live music on the Slim Chickens Mainstage, food trucks and family fun.

What: Free Movie Night at Arvest Ballpark – “Rookie of the Year”

Where: Arvest Ballpark (Springdale)

When: 7:30 p.m.

Springdale Parks and Recreation will be hosting a Free Movie Night at Arvest Ballpark this Friday evening. Screening the popular baseball movie “Rookie of the Year,” this event is perfect for all ages to enjoy. Free popcorn, sno cones and water will be provided by The City Church NWA.

Friday, Aug. 2

What: ‘90s Night with Arkansas Travelers

Where: Dickey-Stephens Park (North Little Rock)

When: 7:05 p.m.

The Arkansas Travelers dished out the deets for 90s Night, which will take place this Friday evening at Dickey-Stephens Park. Promised to be all that and a bag of chips, this event will be special for the first 900 fans through the gate, who will get a super fly fanny pack. Post-game, 90s music will be played during the fireworks, which will be presented by Conway Regional Health System.

Friday, Aug. 2

What: Summer Jam Night Market

Where: St. Joseph Farmstead (North Little Rock)

When: 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Have an amazingly good time on the farm this Friday night, as the Summer Jam Night Market will be taking place at St. Joseph Farmstead. This event will include live music, several vendors and artists, food trucks and fresh local produce.

Friday, Aug. 2 – Saturday, Aug. 3

What: St. Joseph School Bazaar

Where: St. Joseph School (Conway)

When: Friday: 10:30 a.m. – 9 p.m., Saturday: 9 a.m. – 11 p.m.

Enjoy a fun, family-friendly Bazaar this Friday and Saturday at St. Joseph School. As an annual tradition, this event benefits St. Joseph School. Guests can look forward to boxed lunches, a flea market, midway carnival games, a silent auction and great prizes. On Saturday evening, this event will close out with a drawing of raffle prizes at 11 p.m.

Friday, Aug. 2 – Saturday, Aug. 3

What: The Original Toughman Contest

Where: Maumelle Event Center (North Little Rock)

When: Doors open at 6, first bell at 7

Toughman is back this weekend at Maumelle Event Center. Tough men and women will fight to be named The Toughman Champion this Friday and Saturday. Tickets for each night are $30 or $50 for both nights.

What: Dolly Day

Where: Cypress Social (North Little Rock)

When: 4 p.m. – 11 p.m. daily

There’s no better way to celebrate being free from your “9 to 5” than to join Cypress Social for Dolly Day. Celebrate your favorite “Backwoods Barbie” over two days of Dolly Parton celebration with Dolly Day co*cktails such as Jolene’s Sangria, Honky Tonk Angel or Islands in the Stream. A portion of Dolly Day proceeds will support Dolly’s Imagination Library.

What: The Main Thing Presents: Electile Dysfunction (Opening Weekend)

The Main Thing, a world-class comedy trio, will present its latest show, “Electile Dysfunction,” through Aug. 31. This production features a very divided Little Rock family who become local celebrities after Spy Eye News covers their story. No matter where you sit on the political spectrum, this show is sure to make you laugh on both sides of the aisle.

What: The Pocket Community Theatre Presents “Mary Poppins”

This weekend, The Pocket Community Theatre will be showing “Mary Poppins,” one of the most popular Disney movies of all time. This performance is promised to capture your heart in a new way, as the musical will include the story from the classic film and inspiration from The Broadway Musical. This performance will be played Aug. 9-11 as well.

This weekend marks Arkansas’ 2024 Tax-Free Weekend, which will take place from Saturday, Aug. 3, to the end of Sunday, Aug. 4. Buy school supplies, including art supplies and instructional materials, as well as clothing and electronic devices, with $0 paid in tax this weekend only. What: Blues by Budweiser

Where: RJ’s Grill & Bar (Pine Bluff)

When: Doors open at 7 p.m.

Blues By Budweiser will take place this Saturday evening at RJ’s Grill & Bar in Pine Bluff. Head on out downtown to hear the soulful voice of Amanda Fish Band, hosted by the Port City Blues Society. Members of PCBS will be admitted for free, and everyone else will be charged $5 to attend.

What: Zingfling

Where: Scott Family Amazeum (Bentonville)

When: 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Bounce, Hop and Spring into your imagination this Saturday evening as Zingfling will be taking place at the Scott Family Amazeum. This event is the museum’s summer member party, which will allow members to bring their families to the museum after hours and enjoy time together while exploring exciting new activities – led by Play Facilitators.

What: Etiquette Brunch

Where: Pulaski Technical College Grand Ballroom A/B (North Little Rock)

When: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

This Saturday, a special Etiquette Brunch for all school-age tweens, teens and young adults will be held at Pulaski Tech. As this event focuses largely on etiquette, it is meant to inspire students to dream big and aim high in the quickly approaching school year. This event will include limited back-to-school supplies, makeup and wardrobe tips from local barbers and cosmetologists, and will feature dynamic speakers, a celebrity guest speaker and live entertainment. Tickets are $45 and are available online.

Saturday, Aug. 3

What: Happy Birthday, Amos!

Where: Little Rock Zoo

When: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Join the Little Rock Zoo for Amos’, the alligator, birthday celebration. This monster truck-themed birthday party will include cookies, Hiland Dairy Products, keep chats, and a natural feeding opportunity where Amos will receive a whole deer leg for his birthday. Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite monster-truck attire and visit Dragon Kingdom. The price of this event is included with the price of admission.

Saturday, Aug. 3

What: Freeze Fest 2024

Where: Downtown Bentonville Square

When: 7:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Guests of the Bentonville Farmers Market are in for an extra-sweet treat this Saturday, as Downtown Bentonville Inc. will kick off the weekend with Freeze Fest 2024. DeeBee’s will be offering its organic products to the public for free.

Saturday, Aug. 3

What: Lost and Found Market: TAX FREE Back-To-School Weekend

Where: Dog Eat Dog and Sterling Market (East Village/Little Rock)

When: 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Little Rock: Get ready for the upcoming school year in style with Lost and Found Market in East Village. This event will include tax-free items from over 40 local vendors, including vintage resellers, artists and other creators. Enjoy delicious food, drinks and more from Sterling Market while you shop.

Saturday, Aug. 3 – Sunday, Aug. 4

What: Warbird Weekend 2024

Where: Arkansas Air and Military Museum (Fayetteville)

When: Saturday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sunday: 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Warbird Weekend 2024 will take place this Saturday and Sunday at the Arkansas Air and Military Museum in Fayetteville. The Commemorative Air Force will welcome the C-47A “That’s All Brother” to Fayetteville. This aircraft led the airborne invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944. Entry tickets start at $25 for adults and $10 for children ages 6-15. They will include ground tours of the aircraft and access to the museum.

Saturday, Aug. 3 – Sunday, Aug. 4

What: Bluey at the Ballpark

Where: Dickey-Stephens Park (North Little Rock)

When: Saturday: 6:05 p.m., Sunday: 1:35 p.m.

Wackadoo! This weekend, Bluey will be heading to Dickey-Stephens Park. Join the Arkansas Travelers as they play against the Midland RockHounds and visit with one of the most famous children’s show stars. Bluey will be available for photos on Saturday from 5:05 – 9:05 and Sunday from 12:35 – 4:45, and meet-and-greet access is first come, first serve. Sunday’s game will also allow children 13 and under to run the same base paths the Travs run after the game.

Sunday, Aug. 4

What: “Barbie The Movie: In Concert”

Where: Walmart AMP (Pinnacle Hills/Rogers)

When: Doors open at 6:30 p.m., movie and screening begin at 8 p.m.

“Barbie” was a huge hit last summer, and this summer, the film can be seen in a new light at The Walmart AMP. “Barbie The Movie: In Concert” will include a live-to-film concert experience, where the film will be brought to life with live music from The Barbie Land Sinfonietta.

Sunday, Aug. 4

What: Brunch on the Mountain: Italian Pop-Up

Where: Mount Sequoyah (Fayetteville)

When: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

What’s better than brunch? Brunch with a view. This Sunday, join Mount Sequoyah for its Italian-themed Sunday Brunch. Guests are invited to BYOB; all juice will be provided at the event. The menu will feature items such as caprese quiche, ricotta cheese grits, lasagna, Italian pork roast, tiramisu and more.
